Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance)
Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time (depending on experience)
Remuneration: Base + Performance-Based Bonuses
Overview:
We are looking for a highly organised and research-driven Events Assistant to support the planning and commercial execution of our business conferences and executive seminars. This is a non-travel, back-office role focused on research, coordination, and sales support. This role supports both the event manager and sales team across planning, logistics, and sponsorship delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the event planner, overseeing all key milestones, internal deadlines, and task ownership
- Coordinate all event communication, including emails to sponsors, speakers, delegates, and partners
- Manage the event project management platform, ensuring up-to-date timelines and accurate task tracking
- Ensure all internal team members are on track with assigned responsibilities and deliverables
- Conduct targeted research to identify relevant delegates, speakers, sponsors, and partners
- Lead sponsorship and delegate ticket sales outreach, in collaboration with the commercial team
- Draft and send stakeholder emails, ensuring timely and professional communication
- Update event websites and registration pages, keeping content current and aligned with marketing timelines
- Prepare internal documents, including schedules, call briefs, and event trackers
- Maintain and organise CRM records and contact databases
- Produce reports on project status, task completion, sales activity, outreach progress, and overall event readiness
Requirements:
- Must be educated to degree level in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- The ideal candidate will bring hands-on project management experience
- Must have supported the planning and delivery of at least 3 conferences or seminars with 100+ delegates
- Must have been involved in the full event lifecycle, from planning through to post-event follow-up
- Experience promoting events via LinkedIn or other social platforms
- Demonstrated experience selling delegate tickets and/or sponsorship packages
- Must have at least 3 years of experience working in a corporate environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, website CMS, and project trackers
- Traceable references are required
Remuneration:
- This is a paid contractor role, offering a base rate, with performance-related bonuses
